Power in the Word
What was
the way in which God brought the heavens into existence?
"By the word of
the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the
breath of his mouth. He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an
heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses. Let all the earth fear the
LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. For he spake,
and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast." Psalms
33:6-9.
What is it
that Christ uses to uphold all things?
"Who being
the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and
upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by
himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on
high." Hebrews 1:3.

truth are some willingly ignorant?
"For this
they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God he heavens were
of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: whereby
the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished." 2
